Solar Moonshot Program Grantee

Trinity Faith Baptist Church
“We are all travelers on Earth. Everything we have we do not really own. We are here to enjoy God’s blessings and provisions, and it is our responsibility to ensure future generations will also be able to enjoy God’s creation as we did. When God created the world, He made humans to be stewards of His creation. We are to love God first and love people second. Part of loving people means that they should also be able to enjoy the beauty and wonder of nature in the same or even better condition than when we were here. “…those who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust.” - 1 Corinthians 4:2 NCV. We would like to express our gratitude to the Solar Moonshot Program as the grant enabled us the full “electrification” of our energy needs. With the additional funding, we are able to increase our solar panel installation to cover our current electricity needs and also cover the additional electricity requirements so we can replace our 50+ year-old gas furnace with a more efficient heat-pump AC/heater and to replace our gas stove/oven with, possibly, an induction one. This will completely decarbonize our church energy use since we can now remove our gas lines. With the savings we get from going solar, we will be able to reinvest the additional resources to further God’s work in serving our community.”
